RONALD ADCOCK Ronald L. Adcock, 68, of Bastrop, La., formerly of Hamburg, died Sept. 5, 2010 at his residence. Graveside services were Sept. 7 at Beulah Cemtery, with the Rev. Charles Pullin officiating. He�was a retired welder and a member of Gaines Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by a son, Ronald Gene Adcock; his parents, Winiford and Imogene Vail Adcock and seven brothers, Johnny Mike Adcock, Gary Dean Adcock, Harold Adcock, Billy Wayne Adcock, Steve Adcock, Paul Adcock and Eddie Roy Adcock. He is survived by his wife, Martha Ferrell Adcock of Bastrop, La.; three daughters, Tina Jones, Wendy Day and Angela Adcock all of Bastrop, La.; a sister, Shirley Adcock Walker of Hamburg; a grandson, Aaron Adcock and other relatives. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, James Temple; her mother, Louise Hines Wilkinson and a brother, Roger Dale Temple. She is survived by two daughters, Christy Meeks and Shannon Clark, both of Hamburg; a son, Jamie Taylor of Warren; two stepsons, Randy Craig of Strong and Mark Craig of Hamburg; a brother, Herman Temple of Warren; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Cromwell Funeral Home, with burial in Crossroad Cemetery. The Rev. Kenneth Watt will officiate. He was a U.S. Army veteran and an employee of Steve Bolin Logging Co. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lottie Mae Peterson Legg; his maternal grandfather and his paternal grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Teresa K. Hamm of Bastrop, La.; two sons, Jacob Hamm and Jerrod Hamm, both of West Monroe, La.; three daughters, Sarah Smith of West Monroe, Jessica Hamm of Abbeville, La., and Jenni Hamm of Cut Off, La.; three stepdaughters: Amy Ford and Cari Jo Parker, both of Crossett and Kristin Pullin of Bastrop; his father, Paul Hamm of West Monroe; two brothers, Frankie Watt of Houston, Texas, and Willie Watt, Jr. of Hamburg; two sisters, Teresa Watt of Little Rock and Jenifer Legg of Lafayette, La.; eight grandchildren and other relatives. MARK HAWKINS Mark Hawkins, Jr., 72 of Parkdale, died Sept. 2, 2010 in Mandeville, La. Funeral services were Sept. 6 at Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home, with burial in Parkdale Cemetery. The Revs. Cheryl Slocum and Bob Bridges officiated. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas, a longtime farmer and cattleman, former owner of Parkdale Chemical Co., a former Parkdale city alderman, former chief of the Parkdale Volunteer Fire Department, a past president of the Parkdale School Board, a member of Parkdale United Methodist Church, where he was chair of the administrative board and a lay leader and a member of Portland Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frances Brame and Mark Hawkins, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Barksdale Hawkins of Parkdale; two daughters, Charlotte Leigh Armfield of Hattiesburg, Miss. and Carol Ann Liles of Covington, La. and two grandchildren, Ainsley Claire Liles and Avery Caitlin Liles. Pallbearers were John Hunter Buatt, Ralph Sewell, John Sumner Barnes, J.D. He was a timber worker and contactor and a member of Prairie Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Arlon Lloyd. He is survived by his wife, Janice Chavis Lloyd of Hamburg; a son, Brandon Lloyd of Hamburg; a stepson, Wade Pennington of Hamburg; a stepdaughter, Lynn Rice of Hamburg; his mother, Arlene Lloyd of Monticello; two grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. Thursday, September 9, 2010 OBITUARIES Story date: Sept. 9, 2010Hugh ParkerDANVILLE — Hugh Langston Parker, 77, of Danville passed away Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.He was born Nov. 28, 1932, at Tatetown to Archie Dow and Bertha Lea Langston Parker. He was a 1951 graduate of Danville High School, a Navy veteran, a 1960 graduate of Arkansas Tech University, a school teacher and track, basketball and football coach. He was of the Methodist faith.He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Alicia Eugenia Woodson, Wanda Louise Kilby, Betty Ann Oller and Francis Geraldine Wiliams; two infant sisters; and a great-grandson, Thomas Vader Herzberg.Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Narcia Parker; children and spouses, Lisa and Charles Engle Charton of Hector, Hugh Neal Parker of Booneville, Tommy Langston and Laura Parker of Russellville, and Toby and Cindy Parker of Dardanelle; sisters, Jesse Pauline Wagner of Fort Cobb, Okla., Kelsey Maxine Noland of Union City, Calif., and Patsy Ruth Novitch of Haddock, Ga.; 12 grandchildren, Dustin Oliver, Chance Charton, Porchea Floyd, Tristan Parker, Charlee Herzberg, Chase Parker, Tuesday Parker, Chloe Charton, Daisy Parker, Langston Parker, Jackson Hugh Parker and Madden Parker; nine great-grandchildren, Marley Floyd, Ryleigh Love, Chayden Charton, Cheyna Charton, Emmalyne Herzberg, Caileigh Carton, Locke Oliver and Aubrey Whitehouse; and 10 great-grandchildren with Parker Herzberg arriving in January.Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2010, at Ted Lyons Gymnasium with the Rev.
